Staying Connected While Cutting the Cord

At this time of year, parents are seeing their children off as they embark on their college journeys.  To be sure, there is a lot of stress over shopping for dorm room gear, textbooks, and such.  Parents are also pondering how to stay connected once their teens leave home.  Over the years, we've seen parents becoming increasingly hands-on in the minutiae of their children's lives from friendships, sports & extracurriculars, and school work.  Consequently, there comes the question of how these teens will now manage without their parents micromanaging things.  In this episode, I discuss this transition with two amazing mothers of college students and young adults who can speak from their personal experiences as well as their professional work with children, teens, young adults.
