Parent Talk – Saturday, December 1, 2018

Friendship and Bullying – Tuesday, November 13, 2018

One of the first things our children learn about interacting with others, even siblings and family members, is how to be a ‘friend'; how to treat others kindly.  In fact, young children take great pride and find security in their friendships.  As they mature beyond that idyllic stage and their circle of engagement expands, friendships can become challenging.  This parent talk is designed to provide tools to parents and caregivers to help the children in their lives build and maintain healthy friendships.  This talk is being hosted by Cameron Elementary School in Alexandria, VA for their parent community.  I am looking forward to presenting this talk on behalf of the Parent Encouragement Program (PEP).

Positive Discipline Workshop – Wednesday, October 17, 2018

It is my privilege to present a workshop entitled, Positive Discipline at the Fall Professional Development Day hosted by the Potomac Association of Cooperative Teachers, Incorporated (PACT). PACT is a non-profit professional organization of cooperative preschool teachers in the Washington DC Area.  I will be presenting as a certified parent educator on behalf of the Parent Encouragement Program (PEP).  The event will be held at First Christian Church, Falls Church, VA.
